New boarding school Verrès

“A boarding school that is at the service of the new education center so that it can accomodate the students of the surrounding valleys.” This is the aim of the boarding school project with regional relevance. Validated by the national committee for internal areas, it is in fact part of a political-institutional strategy aimed at improving the quality of training in the Aosta Valley. The boarding school will be housed in the so-called «Dépendance» of the former Brambilla cotton mill (now the central part of the former spinning mill houses  the branch of the Politecnico of Turin) and it will be useful to make more accessible and attractive high school , technical and vocational education of  Verrès. With the boarding school, a school campus will be realized. It twill include all the  essential educational services and will be connected to the surrounding  productive reality, a place for student’s experience and personal growth, for dialogue and discussion.

The young architecture firm Cinque A joined by Sertec Engineering Consulting for the enginnering part and  Studio Bark for image and development, have won the competition for the design of the new boarding school.
