CALUSO – TURIN: SECURING AGAINST HYDRAULIC RISK OF THE STATE-OWNED CANAL OF CALUSO

Sertec Engineering Consulting developed the technical and economic feasibility project about the security works concerning the hydraulic risk of the State-owned Canal of Caluso.
The planned works comply with the need to limit the ongoing bank erosion as well as to reduce the dispersion of the water resource by imbibition of the earthy riverbed.
In this case, the canall will be reprofiled with the construction of a reinforced concrete riverbed with the banks covered with cemented boulders in order to have less impact on the environment.
Local material removals and backfilling are planned to regularize the bank top with the ground level and achieve almost zero value of excavated soil and rocks.
