The municipal administration of Pozzolo Formigaro has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the project for the urban intergeneration program relating to the intervention for integrated social housing for the Biumo Inferiore district.
The project aims to become a catalyzing example of new urban dynamics capable of activating neighborhood life, involving current inhabitants and attracting new populations to live, live and animate the area. The transformation process is gradual and in phases and requires awareness of all the actors involved, from the administration to the design team to the residents themselves. A new way of experiencing the new neighborhood is through the relationship that is established between the ground floors of the buildings and the context. A multi-service hub capable of meeting the needs of residents, students, traders, small businesses and artisans.
The project aims to build relationships between different elements: blind walls, impassable slats, open and empty spaces, courtyards, lake alleys. The project combines elements, revealing connections between portions that are currently unrelated to each other.
The project is not linked to any pre-established model: it puts itself at the service of the architectural and social fabric by building bridges and crossings, transforming the courtyards into squares and meeting places, restoring plasticity to the routes.
