The Municipal Administration of Saint Vincent has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the recovery project of the historic “Ex Town Hall” building, built between 1872 and 1875 as a town hall, now in advanced structural degradation.

The main objective is the revitalization of the former town hall to offer the community a new multifunctional centre, including a Tourist Office active in local promotion and training.

♦ Architectural approach: The recovery intervention of the “Ex Municipio” building aims to improve energy performance.

The ground floor will be the hub of the new centre, with the installation of a Tourist Office. The matchboards will be replaced with an internal coat. The external windows and doors will be renovated with double glazing to improve energy efficiency, while internal doors and wardrobes will be restored and repainted according to the original color proposal.

♦ The structural approach includes interventions to consolidate the load-bearing walls, reconstruction of the retaining floor and structural consolidation on the ground floor.

♦ Architectural restoration: The main north facade will be restored with targeted interventions: restoration of the deteriorated decorative stuccos, recovery of the window frames and complete cleaning followed by repainting.

♦Mechanical systems: inside the building they have been completely revisited and adapted to current regulations, ensuring compliance with technical standards. These include the air conditioning system, the heating system, the sanitary water system and the methane gas system.
