The municipal administration of Pozzolo Formigaro has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the recovery and restoration project of the castle of Pozzolo Formigaro and its surrounding areas.

The objective is to improve public spaces, enhance accessibility with new routes, improve services and restore the damaged parts of the castle, keeping its architectural identity intact.

Inside the castle, it is planned to enhance the historical parts with museum functions, create a belvedere to enjoy the views from the tower and use the attic areas currently not used. It also aims to introduce new disabled toilets to support events hosted in the castle’s internal courtyard.

The conservative recovery and restoration project includes the following interventions:

Maintenance of the garden with creation of a pedestrian path along the perimeter and installation of seats and parapets for safety.
Restoration of the castle: cleaning and repair of any damage, introduction of a glass wall in the council room to create a passage to the attic floor.
Creation of new services: a cafeteria and toilets accessible to disabled people, with attention to the enhancement of the arches and the introduction of better fixtures.
