C.V.A. S.p.a. entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the executive project for lot A of the renovation of the hydroelectric plant. 

The Hone II plant, which runs through the municipalities of Champorcher, Pontboset and Hône, is fed by the waters of the Ayasse, Mandaz and Brenve streams, right tributaries of the Dora Baltea.

The main intake structure in the Outre l’Ève area will be renewed by inserting new gravel and sand traps and raising the existing barrier.

The works in the project concern: 

♦ intake works: these subsidiary works on the Mandaz and Brenve streams will undergo a relocation of the intake point with the creation of new trap-type intake works connected to the diversion tunnel via wells; on the La Borney and Fons streams they will be decommissioned and not will be replaced

♦ diversion channel and loading tank: the current diversion channel will be decommissioned. The new conveyance work will be carried out largely in tunnels for a total length of 8972 m. An exception is the initial section downstream of the main outlet of Outre l’Ève for which the construction of a connection channel for a length of approximately 250 m is planned

♦ forced conduit: the route of the new conduit follows the current location of the existing conduits, with the exception of the initial and final section of connection with the new loading basin and with the new power plant, both relocated, for which the construction of a new headquarters

♦ production plant and return works: the project involves the construction of a new power plant building with an adjoining new electrical station. The new power station will be built near and to the west of the existing power station building while the construction site of the new power station will remain unchanged. The new return works will merge with those currently in service while maintaining the water return section in the Dora Baltea riverbed unchanged.
