The Municipal Administration of Carema has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the project of the multimedia installation of the «Carema Wine Enhancement Center», inside the historic building called «Gran Masun», a stronghold from the early Middle Ages.

The setup involves the creation of 4 visit scenarios in which, thanks to the use of multimedia tools, the 4 main elements characterizing Carema wine are proposed again.

♦ 0. DEPARTURE SCENARIO: visitors coming from the reception access the room using the existing lift, passing a curtain. Upon their entrance they will find a dark environment, made so through the shielding of all the glass openings and the possible sources of light that could come from outside.

♦ FIRST MULTIMEDIA SCENARIO: by interacting with the central console, users will discover the territory and its peculiarities, starting from a national/international scale. We will then move on to a more specific level of knowledge of the place, and in particular, with the support of a wooden model, the geomorphology of Carema and its historical urban fabric will be analysed.

♦ SECOND MULTIMEDIA SCENARIO: in this room you embark on the real journey to discover wine. In this phase, aspects regarding the microclimate and geomorphology of the Carema basin will be described.

♦ THIRD MULTIMEDIA SCENARIO: the title of the third scenario, in which you learn about the entire agricultural production phase of the wine, up to the harvest. Video projections performed on the walls and integrated with the sound diffusion of the voices of the protagonists and the noises of the places and processes, will transport the visitor directly into a vineyard.

♦ FOURTH MULTIMEDIA SCENARIO: the last scenario will allow the visitor to reach the pinnacle of the production and winemaking process. The processes that the grapes undergo following harvesting will be illustrated. At the end of the learning journey, the visitor will discover the final product, the bottled wine, which until then will remain hidden inside the existing niche at the side of the fireplace and only at the end of the visit will it be illuminated and visible.
