SAFETY OF THE CALUSO STATE-LAND CANAL

Sertec Engineering Consulting has developed the technical and economic feasibility project relating to the works to secure the Caluso state canal from hydraulic risk.

The planned works comply with the need to limit the ongoing erosion of the banks as well as reduce the dispersion of the water resource due to imbibition of the earthy riverbed. 

In this case, the canal will be reprofiled with the creation of a reinforced concrete riverbed with the banks covered in cemented boulders to have a lower environmental impact. 

Local removals and backfilling of material are planned to regularize the top of the bank with the ground level and achieve an almost zero quantity of earth and rocks from excavation.
