TUSCANY REGION: ADAPTATION EMBANKMENT WALL OF THE MAGRA RIVER

The Tuscany Region entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the project about the embankment wall adjustment works on the hydraulic left of the Magra river in the section between the confluences with the Taverone and the Aulella streams. The project is developed within an integrated contract and the cooperating company is internal to the Consorzio Stabile Costruendo s.r.l. (Co.Ltd.)
The planned intervention has the aim to reduce the hydraulic risk in the small town of Aulla through the construction of a new embankment wall.
The project includes the following works:
♦ reinforced concrete structures of the new embankment;
♦ collectors, box culverts and sewer return pipe;
♦ aqueduct reconstruction;
♦ reinforced concrete structure water tanks and pumps and discharge works in the riverbed;
♦ heterogeneous group and its supply tank.
The purposes of the program that were developed are as follows:
♦ the safeguard from new settlements
♦ the improvement of hydrogeological efficiency
♦ the controlled production of sediment
♦ environmental rehabilitation
♦ mitigation of detected risk levels up to safety.
