THE ARCHITECTURE FIRM CINQUE A AND SERTEC WON THE DESIGN COMPETITION FOR NEW BOARDING SCHOOL OF VERRÈS1
1 Verrès is a town of the Aosta Valley,a region in north-western Italy.
The young architecture firm Cinque A scores another success by winning the competition related to the design of the new boarding school in Verrès. This boarding school will be built in the former cotton mill and annexed to the existing school campus.
Supporting the Treviso-based company (Cinque A), founded by Matteo Benigna, Matteo Cecchi, Diego Collini, Marco Gatti and Giovanni Manzoni, there are Sertec Engineering Consulting for engineering and Studio Bark for image development.
The design team envisioned to drop into the existing building a metal, reversible and independent structure with a wall shell, that is a structure that can be composed as needed and adaptable to the multiple needs of the student.
Within 60 days after the contract is signed, the winners will have to integrate the designs in order to arrive at a technical and economic feasability project. It is also planned to entrust the subsequent design grades, construction management, safety coordination and the completion of the fire practice for a total of about 600 thousand euros.
