IDRO BAVENO s.r.l. has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the work for the design and construction of the new hydroelectric power plant with a derivation from the Po river and a mobile barrier with an inflatable tubular structure.
The construction of the plant involves raising the levels of the watercourse, functional to the derivation of the water flow by the plant itself, through an “inflatable” tubular crosspiece with variable geometry and the construction of the production plant in left bank of the river, astride the dam section.
On the basis of the different functions and the different levels of complexity of the work, the structural elements were analyzed according to the following subdivision:
♦ barrier crosspiece in the riverbed, consisting of a bed at bottom level raised by an inflatable tubular barrier
♦ lateral intake work on the left bank, immediately upstream of the planned crossbar, from which the diversion channel originates
♦ central building, completely underground below the floodplain, hosting the production groups and electromechanical equipment
♦ return channel in the riverbed and connection section with the existing bank defense
♦ climbing ladder for ichthyofauna, located adjacent to the central building
♦ ramp for the passage of canoes on the right bank
♦ delivery cabin, consisting of an Enel room, user room and measurement room.
The works listed above cover a total longitudinal extension of approximately 184 m across the barrier, excluding the connecting section downstream of the drain.
