A.S.L TO3 of Pinerolo Collegno has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the project for the anti-seismic intervention of the Pinerolo hospital complex.
The Edoardo Agnelli hospital is a hospital complex composed of several buildings connected by corridors conventionally called A, B, C, D, E, F and G. The most recent building (2005) is building G and, like buildings A, B and C, built in the 90s, it was designed in compliance with anti-seismic criteria and has seismic joints at the connection points with the existing works.
The structural analyses will therefore focus mainly on buildings D, E and F, since they are physiologically lacking in terms of seismic response; these buildings will appear isolated from the remaining structures and therefore with an independent structural response. The project in particular provides for the seismic protection of one of the hospital buildings (D).
