Villa Cristina

Construction of a Neuropsychiatric Clinic

Client: Casa Mia Immobiliare S.p.a.

Budget:

Partner: PFTV architetti

The facility, originally designed as a 120-bed residential care home (RSA), was converted into a 110-bed Neuropsychiatric Clinic, with the design variation completed in just 60 days. The final layout includes three departments: acute care (20 beds), rehabilitation (75 beds), and long-term care (15 beds).

The building features a reinforced concrete structural frame, cavity wall masonry, and predalles slab floors with acoustic membranes to reduce impact noise. The pitched timber roofs, finished with clay tiles, are insulated and waterproofed, with copper sheet metalwork. The façades are plastered and finished in yellow and grey tones, while the wooden and metal window frames are fitted with double glazing and shading systems to improve energy efficiency. The internal partitions are soundproofed, ensuring appropriate acoustic insulation throughout the facility.
