Renovation of a historic building in the center of Castellamonte, transforming it into a modern and accessible two-family residence.
The ground floor, currently used as an ancillary space, will be converted into a living area with kitchen, bathroom, and hallway, connected to the first floor by a new steel staircase. The first floor will accommodate a master bedroom, walk-in closet, and a second bathroom. Finishes will be renewed with porcelain stoneware flooring and contemporary wall finishes.
The internal layout will be reorganized, with upgrades to building systems and replacement of windows and doors to improve functionality and energy efficiency. Particular attention will be given to accessibility for people with reduced mobility, in compliance with regulations on architectural barriers. The intervention combines the building’s historical value with contemporary living comfort.
