Transformation of the Former Salesian Richelmy Institute

Client: Casa Mia Immobiliare S.p.a.

Budget: –

Partner: PFTV architetti

The project involves the development of a 180-bed Residential Healthcare Facility in Turin, within the former Agostino Richelmy Salesian Institute, located near a major city hospital.

The original complex, composed of two main buildings enclosing two courtyards connected by an eclectic staircase, will be partially demolished to replace the wings lacking historical value with a new L-shaped building. The two listed historic wings, on the other hand, will be renovated and restored, preserving their original architectural and decorative elements.

The project also includes two underground parking garages, one private and one public. Two rooftop gardens will be created above the parking structures, featuring equipped outdoor areas for recreational activities. An efficient irrigation system, supplied by rainwater harvesting tanks, will help reduce maintenance costs and overall water consumption.
