Construction of the new “Skyway” cableway complex in Courmayeur, located at approximately 3,500 meters above sea level among the permanent glaciers of Mont Blanc.
The project included the design of the reinforced concrete relay shaft and the structural calculations for the construction of custom cantilevered scaffolding systems, ensuring safety during the works for the arrival station at Punta Helbronner.
This intervention represented an unprecedented engineering challenge, carried out in an extremely hostile environment under severe weather conditions. Despite the difficulties, the works were successfully completed without incidents or injuries, thanks to meticulous planning and rigorous safety management.
