Enhancement of the historic mining site of Ollomont, in the Aosta Valley, through the creation of a museum centre and a visitor reception facility aimed at strengthening the area’s cultural and economic tourism.
The new museum is conceived as a centre for documentation, research, and public dissemination, with a focus on geology, mining history, and industrial archaeology.
The new facility will provide multifunctional spaces for educational workshops, cultural events, exhibitions, and sports-related activities, including initiatives connected to the renowned Tor des Géants. The project also includes the creation of an archaeometallurgy laboratory, a centre for scientific studies, and the restoration of existing buildings to improve accessibility, responding to both local and tourism-related needs.
