Design of extraordinary maintenance and safety improvement works at the “La Piagne” vineyard, the Interreg V-A Alcotra 2014/2020 Programme.
The intervention aims to enhance a high-value agricultural area through the structural and functional restoration of its terraced vineyards. The project includes the rehabilitation and integration of existing stone pillars, the installation of new monolithic elements in stone and chestnut wood, and the replacement of the damaged pergola with a new, more durable structure harmonized with the surrounding landscape.
Particular attention has been given to safety, with the installation of a continuous lifeline system along each row to ensure protection during agricultural activities. The works are completed by the installation of new wooden fencing, improvements to the access road, and the strengthening of the entrance bridge, ensuring safe and long-lasting use of the entire vineyard.
