Chiappeto Residential
Care Home

Conversion of the Chiappeto Minor Seminary into a Multifunctional Hospitality Facility

Client:  Chiappeto s.r.l. – Gruppo Orpea

Budget:

Partner: PFTV architetti

The project aims to complete the transformation of the Former Chiappeto Minor Seminary in Genoa into a residential facility for the elderly, already home to a Residential Care Home (RSA), a rehabilitation center, and an Alzheimer’s care unit.

The building, located in the upper part of the San Martino district with views over the sea, stands on a historic site whose origins date back to the 16th century.

The project includes extensive restoration works, adaptive reuse, and full MEP upgrading, while preserving the building’s most valuable architectural features. The surrounding green areas will be restored and enhanced through the creation of various therapeutic gardens. The objective is to develop a high-quality healthcare facility with 100 beds, ensuring comfort, well-being, and welcoming environments, while integrating harmoniously into the historical and landscape context.
