The project concerns the preparation of the Technical and Economic Feasibility Study for the upgrading of urban infrastructure along the route between Piazza Europa and Piazza dei Martiri, with interventions focused on smart road systems, intelligent mobility, the enhancement of the cycle network and the redevelopment of Catania’s waterfront.
The intervention is part of a broader vision for the transformation of the waterfront, with the aim of reconnecting the city with the sea and giving citizens accessible, sustainable public spaces integrated with the urban fabric.
The proposal enhances the Archi della Marina, strengthens cycle and pedestrian routes, and interprets the waterfront as a new green and technological backbone, capable of combining landscape, sustainable mobility, smart services and places for social interaction.
A strategic project to rethink the seafront as an open, inclusive and recognizable urban space, contributing to the development of a more sustainable, innovative Catania, closer to the needs of citizens and visitors.
