Bell Tower
Conservation and Rehabilitation of the Bell Tower
Client: Favria Municipality
Budget: € 58.630,00
Partner: –
Safety works and conservative restoration of the bell tower of the Parish Church of Saints Michael the Archangel, Peter and Paul in Favria, dating back to the 17th century.
The intervention became necessary following the collapse of cement cornices in 2019. The work focused on the sixth tier of the tower and the roof, with the aim of preserving its historical and architectural value, protected by the Heritage Authority. Critical cement elements introduced during previous restoration works were removed, and technical solutions were adopted to ensure a balance between structural reinforcement and respect for the tower’s historic identity. The use of rope-access construction techniques made it possible to minimize the impact on both the environment and the existing structures.
This intervention strengthens the connection between the monument and the community of Favria, safeguarding an important symbol of the town’s urban landscape.
