Prima Industrie S.p.a. has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the project for the construction of various buildings dedicated to the production, research and development of the company.
Since this is a rather complex intervention, it was decided to divide the project into 3 successive phases, taking into account building with criteria of modularity and future expandability.
The main interventions are the following:
♦ new construction of building B1 intended for offices complete with related services, archive in the basement and a floor intended for the “Research and Development” function, connected to the new warehouse with laboratory function
♦ new B2 and B3 buildings intended for production and offices with large technical spaces and warehouses
♦ Urbanization works and external arrangements.
The project also pursued the principles of environmental sustainability in both the design and construction phases. In fact, buildings have been designed that have a lower impact on the surrounding environment both in terms of building components, innovative technologies and energy saving.
Prima Industrie is a 100% “carbon-free” production plant as it uses only renewable energy sources for the site’s entire energy needs. This important result was possible thanks to the presence of an open-cycle vertical geothermal system and a photovoltaic system.
