The intervention concerns the construction of the tourist cycle path identified as “lot 4 relating to the P2 section of the VENTO national tourist cycle path” extending approximately 41 km from the intersection with the SP32 in the Municipality of Trino to the Strada per Casale in the Municipality of Valenza. The objective of the intervention concerns the construction of a cycle route along the Po River, a route integrated with the surrounding environment that enhances and qualifies it. The project pursues the following fundamental objectives:
♦ integration of the infrastructure into the environment it crosses
♦ cost-effectiveness through the activation of greater kilometre development with limited use of financial resources, in order to develop an organic and extensive cycle network and use resources to resolve critical situations (crossings, “black spots”, safety measures, connections, …)
♦ construction choices aimed at maximum use and accessibility
♦ sustainability in terms of duration, maintainability and life cycle of the works
♦ construction simplicity, quality and recognisability of the interventions.
The interventions are characterised by low intensity, so as not to further overload the territorial schedule but simply activate existing synergies.
