ADJUSTMENT WORKS ON THE MAGRA RIVER EMBANKMENT WALL

The Tuscany Region has entrusted Sertec Engineering Consulting with the project relating to the adaptation works of the embankment wall on the hydraulic left side of the Magra river in the stretch between the confluences with the Taverone torrent and the Aulella torrent. The project is developed within an integrated contract and the collaborating company is within the Consorzio Stabile Costruendo s.r.l.

The planned intervention has the aim of reducing the hydraulic risk of the town of Aulla through the construction of a new embankment wall. 

The project includes the following works: 

♦ reinforced concrete structures of the new embankment; 

♦ collectors, boxes and return pipes of the mixed sewerage; 

♦ reconstruction of the aqueduct; 

♦ reinforced concrete structure drainage tanks and pumps and drainage works in the riverbed;

♦ heterogeneous group and related supply tank

The objectives of the program developed are the following: 

♦ protection from new settlements

♦ the improvement of hydrogeological efficiency

♦ the controlled production of sediments

♦ environmental redevelopment

♦ the mitigation of ascertained risk levels up to safety.
